Maruti Vitara Brezza sales cross 10,000 units in October

Surpasses Hyundai Creta's sales for the fourth consecutive month.

Benefiting from the festive season, the Maruti Vitara Brezza put on an impressive sales performance last month with 10,051 units of the compact SUV sold in India in October 2016.

The Maruti Vitara Brezza was one of the top 10 selling cars in India last month. Its monthly sales surpassed those of the Hyundai Creta (October 2016: 8,670 units) for the fourth time in a row. It's worth noting that the Hyundai Creta is not a sub-4 metre model and is priced starting at about INR 2 lakhs over the Maruti Vitara Brezza.

The Maruti Vitara Brezza is available only with the 1.3-litre DDiS 200 four-cylinder diesel engine that produces 66 kW (88.47 hp) at 4,000 rpm and 200 Nm of torque at 1,750 rpm. A 5-speed manual transmission is standard. A petrol model is said to be coming by May 2017, and an AMT option is in the pipeline as well.

Automatic headlamps, LED light guides (front and rear), 16-inch alloy wheels, electrically adjustable and foldable door mirrors, cruise control, keyless entry, automatic climate control and Smartplay infotainment system with navigation, Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink are some of the key features of the Maruti Vitara Brezza.

The compact SUV is available in LDi/LDi (O), VDi/VDi (O), ZDi and ZDi+ trim levels, with prices starting at INR 7,19,003 (ex-showroom New Delhi).
