The Suzuki Ignis is powered by the K12C 1.2-litre DUALJET four-cylinder petrol engine.

The Maruti (Suzuki) Ignis, the company's new crossover-styled hatchback, is the production version of the Suzuki iM-4 concept introduced at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. It's based on the highly successful Baleno's lightweight new generation platform. The Euro-spec Ignis measures 3,700 mm in length, 1,660-1,690 mm in width and 1,595 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,435 mm.

The Ignis can be ordered in Europe with the K12C 1.2-litre DUALJET four-cylinder petrol engine with or without the SHVS mild-hybrid system. This engine produces 66 kW (88.47 hp) at 6,000 rpm and 120 Nm of torque at 4,400 rpm and sends power to the wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed automated manual transmission. The Indian-spec version is likely to be offered with the K12B 1.2-litre petrol engine and a 1.3-litre diesel engine. SHVS could be available, but a four-wheel drive system will not be.
