Will debut in Wolfsburg, Germany today.

The 2017 VW Golf range has leaked online hours before its world premiere in Wolfsburg, Germany, with photos showing the new Golf, new Golf GTI, new Golf GTE, new Golf Estate and possibly what could be the new Golf GTD.

Up front, the 2017 VW Golf features tweaked headlamps, restyled bumper and reshaped central air intake. In the GTE variant, the radiator grille and the signature C-shaped LED daytime running lights have been changed. At the rear, the tail lights have new graphics, and appear to have been restyled.

Inside, the 2017 VW Golf features a new fully-digital instrument cluster and a large new touchscreen infotainment system. The gearshift lever is also new, while upholstery and trim choices may see some changes.

The 2017 VW Golf will also feature new driver assistance systems, Volkswagen has confirmed in a release. It is reported that the new model will be available with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system as well as new 1.5-litre engines. The new VW Golf should go on sale in Europe in early 2017, with order books opening this year.
