Honda Cars India has launched the facelifted version of the Honda Brio hatchback in India. Prices start from INR 4.69 Lakhs – 6.81 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). Below is a gallery of images clicked at the drive event.
Changes in the new Brio are cosmetic in nature. Similar to the Honda Amaze, the facelifted Brio features an updated front fascia with a bolder, gloss black grille with a chrome embellisher and a sportier bumper. At the rear, it gets mildly updated taillights and a spoiler.
Inside, the changes are as significant as the front fascia. The Brio facelift sources the dashboard from the Honda Amaze facelift and Honda BR-V, which incorporates premium materials, rectangular AC vents, silver accents, a new instrument cluster, a new 2-DIN audio system with USB, Aux-in and Bluetooth connectivity and new AC controls with a max-cool feature. The top-end VX exclusively gets an all black interior, while lower variants have beige fabric seats and door panels.
No changes have been made to the engine and gearbox. The new Brio continues with the 1.2L four-cylinder i-VTEC engine capable of 88 PS and 109 Nm of torque. It is available with a 5-speed manual or 5-speed automatic transmission (torque converter). As for fuel efficiency, the Brio MT and Brio AT are capable of averaging a mileage of 18.5 km/l and 16.5 km/l, respectively.
