Expected to launch on September 13.

Toyota Kirloskar Motors is reported to launch a comprehensive facelift for the Toyota Etios and Etios Liva on September 13. Here's a pictorial comparison of the upcoming Toyota Etios and the outgoing model.

Exterior:

As seen in spyshots of an example spotted at a dealership, the front-end of the new Etios receives a comprehensive update. It looks much sportier than the current Etios, featuring a new V-shaped grille with black inserts (chrome embellishers for Etios) and a sporty-looking bumper with larger intakes as well as round foglamps with boomerang-shaped chrome accents.

No changes have been made to the alloy wheel design. At the back, the bumper has undergone a slight redesign and the Etios Liva loses the chrome garnish on its tailgate. In the Etios, the chrome garnish has been repositioned to the middle and integrates a pair of reflectors.

Interior:

Inside, the changes are minor. The new Etios gets a revised instrument cluster, featuring a chrome highlight around the large speedometer, and a digital tachometer. Top-end VX models also feature a leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio buttons and a dual tone black and beige dashboard with beige fabric seats

Powertrain:

The updated Etios range will continue to be offered with a choice between a 1.5L petrol engine that produces 90 PS/132 Nm of torque and a 1.4L D-4D turbodiesel engine with 68 PS/170 Nm. The only transmission option is a 5-speed manual gearbox.
