Like the Indonesian-spec Brio, the local model gets a sportier front fascia.

The facelifted Honda Brio made its world debut at the IIMS 2016 in Indonesia on April 7. Like the Indonesian-spec Brio, the local model gets a sportier front fascia comprising of a larger radiator intake, faux intakes that house the foglamps, bolder black grille that houses an upright Honda logo. No changes have been made to the rear or alloy wheel design.

Inside, the facelifted Brio features a new dashbaord sourced from the Honda Amaze and BR-V. The interior is all black with faux silver embellishers and a mix of matte plastic and piano black trim materials. The instrument binnacle is larger and features new dials but it doesn't get the large MID with FE meter from the Amaze.

The new Brio is available with automatic climate control, Honda Connect mobile services, steering-mounted buttons and an all new 2-DIN audio system with bluetooth streaming and telephony.

Under the hood, the Brio facelift will continue with the 1.2-liter i-VTEC four-cylinder petrol engine capable of 88 PS and 109 Nm of torque. A 5-speed manual gearbox will be equipped as standard, while it's unclear if Honda will replace the 5-speed AT for the Amaze's CVT option. The Brio is not offered with a diesel engine.
