Spyshots of a Skoda Kodiaq that appears to be dressed up as a Range Rover has surfaced online, courtesy of Magazin ProDriver CZ. It will make its world debut on September 1 in Berlin.

The final design of the Skoda Kodiaq was partially revealed in teasers posted last week. The exterior is a slightly toned down version of the Skoda VisionS concept, and is an evolution of Skoda’s angular styling. According to media reports from its private unveil last week, it measures 4,697 mm, 1,882 mm wide and has a 2,791 mm long wheelbase.

Engine lineup will include the 1.4 TSI, 2.0 TSI and 2.0 TDI engines. The 1.4 TSI will be available in two power states: 125 PS and 155 PS, while the 2.0 TSI produces 180 PS. The diesel variants will pack the 2.0 TDI engine also available in two outputs: 150 PS and 190 PS. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and DSG gearbox, while an AWD system is available in all variants except the base 125 PS 1.4 TSI.

As for its launch in India, Skoda has confirmed that the Kodiaq will arrive in 2017. It will be Skoda's first seven-seater SUV in the market as well as the company's new flagship product. When launched, it will rival the likes of the Ford Endeavour, Toyota Fortuner, Hyundai Santa Fe and top-end variants of the Mahindra XUV500.
