Expected to debut later this year.

The 2017 Land Rover Discovery has been spied yet again, this time in China. The new spyshots, courtesy autohome.com.cn, reveal the fifth generation Land Rover Discovery's interior.

The 2017 Land Rover Discovery will be based on the PLA platform.

The 2017 Land Rover Discovery seen in the spyshots features a two-tone interior theme. The dashboard and centre console design is quite familiar, but the infotainment system appears to be a completely touchscreen-operated one with no buttons on either side.

The 2017 Land Rover Discovery was previewed by the Land Rover Discovery Vision concept in 2014. Spyshots strongly indicate that the exterior has remained largely unchanged in the production version, with the future Discovery adopting the latest family design seen on the Land Rover Discovery Sport.

The fifth-gen Land Rover Discovery will be based on the PLA (Premium Lightweight Architecture) platform. It will be offered with an array of 2.0- and 3.0-litre petrol and diesel engine options globally. Availability of electrified powertrains is probably going to be limited to mild-hybrid systems. The all-new Land Rover Discovery will be built alongside the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport at the Solihull plant in England.
