Maruti Alto 800 facelift launched in Sri Lanka at INR 9.33 Lakhs

Gets a revised front-end.

AMW Motors, authorized distributor for Maruti Suzuki in Sri Lanka, has launched the 2016 Maruti Alto 800 (facelift) for sale. It is available in LXi and VXi variants, and prices start from LKR 20.15 lakhs (INR 9.33 Lakhs).

The front end of the new Alto 800 gets a facelifted fascia with revised headlamps, a new grille and redesigned bumper with provisions for foglights. The new bumper and grille have increased the overall length of the small car by 35 mm. The only other change is the introduction of two new colors – Mojito Green and Cerulean Blue.

Inside, the Alto 800 facelift gets a dark grey interior with new seat, door trim fabrics and an integrated headrest for the rear seat. A driver's airbag has now been made optional in both variants. The top-end VXi gets a music system, keyless entry and rear parcel tray.

The Alto 800 facelift continues to be powered by the 0.8L three-cylinder petrol that produces 35.3 kW and 69 Nm of torque, paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. With refinements made to the powertrain, fuel efficiency has gone up by 9 percent to 24.7 km/l. A new brake booster is also claimed to have improved the braking performance.
