Mahindra XUV500 facelift launched in Kenya

Now available at Mahindra dealerships nationwide.

Mahindra has launched the Mahindra XUV500 facelift in Kenya for a starting price of 3.5 million Kenyan shillings (INR 23,14,170.28). The Mahindra XUV500 is distributed in Kenya by Simba Corporation's Xylon Motors.

The new Mahindra XUV500 (facelift) is powered by a 103 kW (138.07 hp) 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine.

The Mahindra XUV500 facelift is listed in two grades in the country - W8 AT and W10 AT, both powered by the 2.2-litre mHawk VGT turbocharged diesel engine that produces 103 kW (138.07 hp) and 330 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to an AISIN-sourced 6-speed automatic transmission which sends power to the front wheels in the W8 grade and to all four wheels through a Borg Warner-developed all-wheel drive system in the W10 grade.

The Mahindra XUV500 automatic will be available at Kenyan dealerships starting today. The XUV500 automatic is already on sale in India, priced from INR 14,29,267 (ex-showroom Mumbai). The next Mahindra XUV500 plan for India is to introduce it with a petrol engine, which will be co-developed with SsangYong Motor Company and be shared with the Mahindra Scorpio.
