For the Indian market, the Honda BR-V will be offered with 1.5-liter four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines. The former will develop 119 PS and 145 Nm of torque and will come paired to an all-new 6-speed manual gearbox or a CVT with paddle-shifters. The former claims an ARAI-rated fuel efficiency of 15.4 km/l while the latter is good for 16 km/l.

The Honda BR-V’s diesel engine is rated for 100 PS and 200 Nm of torque, and will be available solely with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The ARAI-rated fuel efficiency of this engine is 21.9 km/l. Both, petrol and diesel, will be front-wheel drive offerings only.
