EVO India has posted a couple of spyshots featuring the 2016 Audi A4 testing in India ahead of its market launch that is reported to take place in August.

The new A4 is 25 mm longer, 16 mm wider and 12 mm higher than the outgoing model.

The 2016 Audi A4 will be part of Audi’s 10 new product launches for 2016, and was showcased to the public at the 2016 Auto Expo in February. Compared to the outgoing model, the new A4 is 25 mm longer, 16 mm wider and 12 mm higher. Based on the new MLB Evo platform, the new Audi A4 is also 120 kg lighter. It will also share this platform with the next gen Audi A5, which will make its world premiere on June 2.

Top-end grades of the next gen Audi A4 for India could get features such as Matrix LED headlights with dynamic turn signals, Audi’s Virtual Cockpit that is a 12.3-inch instrument display, head-up display, Bang & Olufsen Sound System with 19 speakers, MMI Navigation Plus infotainment with a freestanding 8.3-inch screen, MMI touch, and Audi smartphone interface with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration.

Audi is likely to offer the 2.0L four-cylinder TDI diesel engine paired to a a 7-speed S-Tronic gearbox, while a 6-speed manual transmission is also rumored to be offered. Petrol variants are also being considered for the market, which could include engines such as the 1.4L and 2.0L TFSI units.
