Mazda CX-4 interior teased ahead of its world premiere in Beijing

Will be unveiled on 25 April at the Beijing Motor Show.

Last month, Mazda made the often spied Mazda CX-4 official by announcing that it will be unveiled at the 2016 Beijing Motor Show that will have press days on April 25 and 26. Weeks ahead of its unveiling, Mazda has released a number of teasers that show the interior of the coupe-styled crossover.

Mazda has revealed two features in the interior teaser images – a head-up display or 'Active Driving Display' in Mazda's terminology, Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) with Auto Hold function and MZD Connect infotainment system with a 7-inch display.

The instrument panel has a design similar to that of the 2016 Mazda3 with the analogue tachometer flanked by two digital displays. The head-up display shows speed, navigation directions and other important driving information which the driver would usually need to look below in the instrument panel while driving. Other interior features include an aluminum strip and walnut wood trim on the dashboard, and leather seats.

The Mazda CX-4 will likely be offered with 2.0-litre SKYACTIV-G petrol and 1.5-litre SKYACTIV-D diesel engines globally.

There's even a new exterior teaser that shows the boot which partially reveals the tail lamp design. Undisguised spy shots however have revealed that the tail lamps extend to the tailgate. Based on the 'KODO-Soul of Motion' design philosophy, the CX-4 comes with LED headlamps, roof bars, flared wheel arches and 19-inch alloy wheels.

The Mazda Koeru Concept's production version is expected to be offered with 2.0-litre SKYACTIV-G petrol and 1.5-litre SKYACTIV-D diesel engines globally, along with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission choices. In China though, which will certainly be the CX-4's first market, the menu would not have diesel.
