Mazda has confirmed the Mazda CX-4 for 2016 Beijing Motor Show debut. Here are the five things we know about the crossover.
The Mazda CX-4 is the production version of the Mazda Koeru Concept. The crossover concept was unveiled just months back at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show (2015 IAA).
The exterior has been derived from the company’s KODO-Soul of Motion design philosophy. Coupe-esque styling, LED headlamps, roof bars, flared wheel arches and 19-inch alloy wheels round-up the exterior tidbits.
The interior is very similar to that of other Mazda models. The instrument panel is similar to that of the Mazda3, having an analogue tachometer flanked by two digital displays. There’s an Active Driving Display head-up display above it that projects important driving information like speed and navigation directions. Other features include, Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) with Auto Hold function, MZD Connect infotainment system with a 7-inch display, leather seats and an aluminum strip and walnut wood trim on the dashboard.
The Mazda CX-4 will be positioned between the Mazda CX-3 and the Mazda CX-5, more spacious and practical than the former but sportier and more stylish than the latter.
5. Market Launch
The Mazda CX-4 will be launched first in China this year. International markets will follow later.
