Is a more bold, sportier looking Honda City from another Honda JV.

Honda is showcasing the Honda Greiz at Auto China 2016 (2016 Beijing Motor Show). The Honda Greiz was unveiled in September last year and is essentially a redesigned Honda City built by the Dongfeng Honda joint venture. It's sold exclusively in China, alongside the Honda City which is made by the Guangzhou Honda joint venture.

Both, Honda Greiz and Honda City are priced from 79,800-1,19,800 yuan (INR 8,16,115-12,25,195), but the Honda Greiz looks much more premium than the Honda City, thanks to its much more bold and sportier exterior with cues borrowed from the Honda HR-V (Honda Vezel) as well as the 2016 Honda Civic. There are no significant changes inside the car though, it's the same as the Honda City. But unlike the Honda City, in the Honda Greiz, the centre tunnel and door panels are all black. The dashboard is less shinier as well, with black being the colour used almost entirely.

The Honda Greiz is powered by the 1.5-litre VTEC four-cylinder petrol engine from the Earth Dreams Technology stable that produces 96 kW (129 hp) and 155 Nm of torque. This is the same petrol engine offered in the Honda City, but unlike the City, a 5-speed manual transmission isn’t offered in the Honda Greiz. A continuously variable transmission (CVT) is standard across the Greiz range.
