Honda Prospect Motor is updating the Honda Jazz for the 2016 model year and presenting it at the 2016 Indonesia International Motor Show (2016 IIMS) this month, reports AutonetMagz.

The Indonesian blog has published an image that shows that the 2016 Honda Jazz with a new 8-inch touchscreen multimedia/infotainment system. The website's source says that the new head unit features Bluetooth and HDMI connectivity and reversing camera. The dashboard now features soft-touch material, while the handbrake lever has a silver finish. The 2016 Honda Jazz RS variant gets new 16-inch wheels and a two-tone finish for the handbrake knob.

No mechanical changes are being reported. The Indonesian-spec Jazz is powered by a 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine that produces 88 kW (120 PS/118 hp) and 145 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission or a continuously variable transmission. The same specifications apply to the RS variant.

In India, the RS variant isn't offered, but the regular Honda Jazz is available with a 6.2" touchscreen infotainment system. Two engine choices are offered: a 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol engine producing 90 PS (89 hp) and 110 Nm of torque and a 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine producing 100 PS (99 hp) and 200 Nm of torque. Transmission choices for the petrol engine include 5-speed manual and CVT, while the diesel unit is mated to a standard 6-speed manual transmission.
