The tenth generation 2016 Honda Civic sedan will be go on sale in Australia in June, as per a report from LittleHonda.com. The new generation Honda Civic will be available in five grades: VTi, VTi-S, VTi-L, RS and VT-LX. with prices starting at AU$22,390 (INR 11,56,176).

The 2016 Honda Civic will be available in five grades in Australia: VTi, VTi-S, VTi-L, RS and VT-LX.

The base grade features LED daytime running lights, 16-inch steel wheels, body-coloured door handles, power adjustable door mirrors, cruise control with speed limiter and 7.0-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto smartphone integration compatibility and 8 speakers. The VTi-S grade adds 16-inch alloy wheels, door mirrors with integrated turn indicators, leather-wrapped steering wheel and keyless entry. The VTi-L grade benefits from features like automatic headlights, automatic wipers, 17-inch alloy wheels, electrically retractable door mirrors, dual-zone climate control and DAB+ digital radio.

Moving up, the RS trim level adds LED headlights with auto-leveling function, dark chrome door handles, boot-lid spoiler, one-touch tilt & open electric sunroof, drilled alloy pedals, 8-way power adjustment for the driver's seat, heating function for the front seats, black leather seats, leather-wrapped gear knob and a 10-speaker 452-watt sound system. The range-topping VTi-LX trim level's highlights include auto-dimming rear-view mirror, adaptive cruise control, Garmin satellite navigation with SUNA traffic alerts and turn-by-turn driving directions.

Two engines options will be available: 1.8-litre naturally aspirated petrol and 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol, while a continuously variable transmission will be standard across the range.

Standard safety and assistance features include front, side, full-length curtain airbags, two ISOFix points, reversing camera, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), Agile Handling Assist System (AHAS), Straight Driving Assist, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electric Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Emergency Brake Assist (EBA), Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), Traction Control System (TCS) and Tyre Deflation Warning System (DWS). The VTi-S grade adds LaneWatch blind spot monitoring system and front and rear parking sensors.

The range-topping VTi-LX trim level adds Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), Road Departure Mitigation System (RDM) and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low-Speed Follow (LSF).

The VTi and VTi-S grades are powered by a 1.8-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 104 kW (139 hp) and 174 Nm of torque. The remaining three grades: VTi-L, RS and VTi-LX, sport a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine good for 127 kW (170 hp) and 220 Nm of torque. Both engines are mated to a continuously variable transmission developed using Honda's Earth Dreams Technology.
