Aravind Jayachandran, I'm a huge petrolhead, an automobile engineer, a massive fan of Ferrari, and loves collecting die-cast models for inspiration.
Will launch during end of March.
A Tata Tiago was spotted at a dealership in Goa, which is placed for customer demo. Dealerships have started accepting bookings from March 10, while a market launch is expected on March 28.
The Tata Tiago measures 3,746 mm in length, 1,647 mm in width, 1,535 mm in height and 2,400 mm in wheelbase. Its key external features are bug-eyed headlamps, LED turn indicators embedded on side mirrors, 14-inch twin five-spoke alloy wheels, wraparound tail lamps and a roof-lip spoiler.
The interior comes with the ConnectNext Infotainment system that has been exclusively developed by HARMAN, with an 8-speaker audio system, and can play files through USB and Aux-In, apart from radio and CD functions.
Engine lineup will include an all new 1.2-litre three-cylinder Revotron engine that produces 85 PS and 114 Nm and a 1.05-litre three-cylinder Revotorq engine that develops 70 PS and 140 Nm. A five-speed manual transmission comes standard, while the Tata Tiago Automatic is in the works.
Despite agitation from workers at Tata Motors’ plant in Sanand, Gujarat, Tata Motors reassures that the Tiago is on track for its March-end launch.
