Could get changes similar to the Honda Amaze facelift.

Zigwheels reports that Honda will introduce a much-needed facelift for the Honda Brio in 2017. The reports states that poor sales figures of the Brio made them skip the facelift for this year.

Poor sales figures of the Brio made Honda skip the facelift for this year, reportedly.

However, we are unsure if Honda is introducing a mid-cycle facelift, as older reports suggest that Honda will introduce the next generation Brio in the same year, which is expected to feature an all new exterior, interior and revised engine lineup.

Details on the 2017 Honda Brio are unavailable at this moment. Given that the Brio is only available with a 1.2-liter VTEC petrol engine, Honda could introduce a diesel option in the next Brio to attract a wider audience.

Along with the Mobilio, the Honda Brio is one of the least selling models in the lineup; selling only 399 units of the Brio last month. To further penetrate into the small hatchback segment and increase market share, Honda is reportedly, mulling on an India-specific model that will slot under the Brio and rival the Maruti Wagon-R and Hyundai Eon.
