The Audi RS Q3 Performance is the new range-topping Audi Q3 model, and is presented today at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. It's the third 'RS performance' model after the Audi RS 6 Performance and Audi RS 7 Performance that were concurrently announced in October last year.

While familiar RS styling is obvious, the performance model takes character up one more level with exclusive add-on parts in a matte titanium-look. This finish has been applied to the Singleframe grille, the frame of the air inlet duct and the quattro logo within, the lateral flaps in the air inlets, the trim strips at the side windows, the exterior mirror housings, the roof rails, the upper edge of the diffuser and the fins of the roof edge spoiler.

The RS-specific, 20-inch wheels in five twin-spoke V design are also given the matte titanium-finish. Ascari blue metallic exterior colour, although optional, is exclusive to the RS Q3 performance. RS logo featuring red calipers are standard, but black ones can be had optionally at no extra charge.

Inside, the sport seats have embossed RS Q3 logo covered in a combination of black Alcantara and leather, and the flat-bottom RS sport leather steering wheel, the centre armrest and the selector lever feature blue stitching. The instrument cluster has gray faces with white numbers and red needles and the colour display of the driver information shows boost pressure, oil temperature and a lap timer in a special RS menu.

The Audi RS Q3 performance model sports the same 2.5-litre TFSI turbocharged five-cylinder petrol engine from the Audi RS Q3, but with enhancements that increase the maximum power and maximum torque output from 250 kW (340 PS) and 450 Nm respectively to 270 kW (367 PS) and 465 Nm respectively. The standard 7-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission has also been seriously worked on for enhanced performance. 0-100 km/h acceleration time has been reduced from 4.8 seconds to 4.4 seconds and the top speed has been increased from 250 km/h (electronically limited) to 270 km/h.

In Germany, the Audi RS Q3 performance is priced from €61,000 (INR 46 lakhs) and will reach dealerships in Q2 2016.
