Changes in the front-end are inspired by Toyota's “Keen Look” and “Under Priority” design language. It features a thinner single slat grille highlighted by a chrome bar that runs into the redesigned LED headlamps with LED DRLs. It also gets a new bumper housing a three-slat radiator grille and foglamps. Changes at the rear are limited to new LED taillamps.

For the Australian market, the new Altis gets an advanced safety package that comprises of a pre-collision system (PCS), lane departure alert (LDA) and automatic high beam (AHB). The systems will rely on laser and a camera that’s housed at the top of the windscreen. Given that the Indian market has banned certain frequencies of radar in vehicles, don't expect the above features in the facelifted Altis.
