2017 Suzuki Swift Sport (Maruti Swift) – Rendering

Aravind

Aravind Jayachandran, I'm a huge petrolhead, an automobile engineer, a massive fan of Ferrari, and loves collecting die-cast models for inspiration.

Based on leaked images of the next gen hatchback.

Following the leaked gallery of images that reveal the exterior and interior of the next generation 2017 Maruti Swift (Suzuki Swift), Rushlane has posted a new rendering of the performance oriented Suzuki Swift Sport that is not sold in India.

The model depicted here is the Suzuki Swift Sport, although the regular Maruti Swift will feature a slightly filtered-down version of its styling.

Although the render depicts the Suzuki Swift Sport, the regular Maruti Swift will feature a slightly filtered-down version of its styling, as seen in another leaked image. The new Swift Sport adopts an upright front end, a gaping hexagonal grille, large intakes, smaller headlamps with LED DRLs, and new alloy wheel designs.

The rear end has not been rendered, yet leaked images reveal a design that looks a bit similar to the first generation Maruti Swift. It gets a floating roof impression, door handles on the B-Pillar, and a Baleno-inspired waistline.

Engine lineup is likely to feature the 1.2L K-Series and a 1.0L Boosterjet as petrol options for the Indian market. The 1.3L DDiS could be replaced with Suzuki’s self-developed diesel engine. Gearbox choices may include 5-speed manual, an AMT or even a CVT unit.
