Unlike the US Honda Civic, the ASEAN-spec model will get a smaller 1.8-liter N/A i-VTEC engine. The new 1.5-liter Turbo engine is also available, which generates 174 hp at 5,500 rpm and 220 Nm of torque from 1,800 to 5,000 rpm. Transmission options would include a 6-speed manual and a CVT gearbox.

It's unclear if the 1.5 Turbo variant will feature Road Sailing (RS) body kit that is confirmed for the Philippine-spec Civic. The 2016 Honda Civic is 182.3 inches (4,630 mm) long, 70.8 inches wide (1,798 mm) and 55.7 inches (1,415 mm) tall, and has a wheelbase of 106.3 inches (2,700 mm).
