Mercedes-Benz has released a teaser sketch of the Mercedes C-Class Cabriolet. This will be the first C-Class to get a convertible version and will be the main highlight of the Mercedes-Benz stall at Geneva Motor Show, which begins on March 1.

Mercedes C-Class Cabriolet sketch
The Mercedes C-Class Cabriolet will feature the AIRSCARF neck-level heating and AIRCAP air-deflection system.

The exterior and interior design resembles to that of the Coupè, sans the metal roof, and the convertible looks like a mini S-Class Cabriolet. The various spyshots of prototypes from last year confirmed that there wont be any significant design changes as compared to the coupè.

Following the footsteps of other Mercedes convertibles, the C-Class Cabriolet will offer AIRSCARF neck-level heating and AIRCAP air-deflection system.

Unlike BMW's 4 Series, Mercedes is sticking to a folding fabric roof rather then the hardtop in favor of lower weight and to preserve boot space.

The interior of the Cabriolet will mirror that of the sedan and coupe.

A similar story continues with the engine lineup which will be borrowed from the Coupè. Expect the C-Class Cabriolet to launch initially with a 2.0 turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine and a couple of diesel variants.
