Mahindra KUV100 gets 21,000 bookings, 50% opt for petrol - IAB Report

Mahindra announced that their latest launch, the Mahindra KUV100 has received over 21,000 bookings in a month since launch. The company also shared that a total of 1.75 lakh enquiries have been received and over 2.7 million hits have been recorded on KUV100's microsite.

The KUV100 is receiving about 450-500 bookings every day, and is expected to sell at the rate of 80,000-90,000 units a year.

Pravin Shah, President & Chief Executive (Automotive), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., has disclosed that almost half of the bookings for the KUV100 have been registered for the petrol version. Given the amount of demand, the executive mentioned that the company is working on increasing production capacity in the coming months, from around 5,500 units a month to 8,500 units.

IndianAutosBlog recently learnt that the waiting period for the car is currently close to 3 months, and that the company is receiving 450-500 bookings each day. The model is expected to sell at the rate of 80,000-90,000 units per annum. It is powered by the new mFalcon range of petrol and diesel engines.
