Hyundai Creta Anniversary Edition to launch in mid-2016 - Report

The Creta has received over 100,000 bookings in India.

In an interview with GaadiWaadi, Mr. Puneet Anand, General Manager (Marketing) & Group Head at Hyundai Motor India Ltd confirmed that the company will launch a Hyundai Creta Anniversay Edition in mid-2016.

No further details exist on the Hyundai Creta Anniversary Edition. If it were similar to the Hyundai Elite i20 Celebration Edition, the Creta could get body decals on the side, contrasting roof color, and could be based on the SX grade in its range.

Inside, the Creta Anniversary Edition is expected to get exclusive seat covers and illuminated door sills, aluminum pedals, exclusive floor carpets, and probably a car refrigerator from the optional accessories list could also be included.

Under the hood, the Creta is available with 1.6-liter petrol and diesel engines and a base 1.4-liter diesel engine. A 6-speed manual transmission is standard across the range, and a 6-speed AT is available on a single variant of the 1.6-liter diesel model.

It commemorates the first anniversary since its successful launch in the country in 2015, where sales got off to a good start. Currently, Hyundai has garnered nearly 100,000 bookings, with supplies of 45,000 units in domestic and exports markets. To meet the demand, the company is planning to increase the production to 10,000 units per month for the domestic market from June 2016, and 2500 units per month for export markets.
