Essentially a rebadged version of the Infiniti QX80.

Nissan officially unveiled the 2017 Nissan Armada ahead of its debut at the 2016 Chicago motor show this month, post which it goes on sale this summer. The car is essentially a rebadged Infiniti QX80.

The 2017 Nissan Armada boasts the V-motion grille in conjunction with the LED headlights for low beam and DRLs. It also gets fender vents, chrome trim and acoustic windshield aiding to a quieter cabin.

The Armada's fully boxed ladder-on-frame chassis now sports 4 inch wide side rails as compared to 2.4 inch in the previous model, providing a 20 percent increase in stiffness for better drivability and comfort. The SUV grows 1.2 inches in length, 0.6 inches in width and sits 2.2 inches lower. The wheelbase has been reduced by 2.4 inches.

The 2017 Armada features a luxurious cabin with wood trim, metallic accents and a host of features as standard. The SUV will come in three trim levels namely - SV, SL and Platinum. The standard list of features include 8.0 inch navigation screen, heated seats and 12-speaker Bose entertainment system. The SL gets powered third-row seat, remote ignition, around-view monitor and power tailgate. The top-of-the-line Platinum adds more luxury features like sunroof, DVD entertainment system for rear passengers and a whole list of safety tech.

Under the hood is a 5.6-liter V8 engine churning out 390 horsepower and 401 lb-ft of torque as compared to the present Armada's 317 hp and 385 lb-ft. The engine is mated to a seven-speed automatic gearbox and comes standard with rear-wheel drive while the four-wheel drive is available as an option. The SUV holds a towing capacity of 3855 kg.
