2017 Fiat Panda (facelift) exterior imagined – Rendering
Posted on: Feb 27, 2016 - 6:25pm IST
Release expected in early 2017.
The current Fiat Panda is in its third generation and was introduced in late 2011. Fiat is now readying a mid-life facelift for the top seller to launch in 2017, as seen in these first spy shots that surfaced in January.
Based on the spyshots and more recent Fiat facelifts, an unofficial rendering from Laco Design previews the model.
The render features new split grille design and door mirrors with integrated turn signals. If the latter is seen on the actual model, the turn signals on the fenders would be removed. Given its price point, LED headlights and LED tail lights aren’t expected to be offered. These features may find their way to the facelifted Fiat Panda 4×4 and the facelifted Fiat Panda Cross, as neither come for a bargain price of the standard Panda.
The interior changes may include new upholstery, steering wheel, instrument cluster and dashboard trim. The facelift may finally bring the Uconnect infotainment system to the Panda, likely with a 5-inch display. These changes will also be seen in the Fiat Panda 4×4 and the Fiat Panda Cross.
The current Fiat Panda is offered in five configurations (68hp 1.2L petrol+5MT, 94hp 1.3L diesel+5MT, 84 hp 0.9L petrol+5AT, 68hp 1.2L LPG+5 MT and 84 hp 0.9L+5MT) and they are expected to remain more or less the same, probably with tweaks for better fuel efficiency and lesser CO2 emission.
Rivals: Hyundai i10, Ford Ka, Toyota Aygo, Kia Picanto, Skoda Citigo
Expected price: From €11,000 (INR 8.27 lakhs)
Expected release (Europe): Early 2017
