The 2016 Honda Civic may be offered with both 1.5- and 2.0-litre petrol engines in ASEAN markets.

From the spy shots, it can be said that the exterior of the ASEAN-spec tenth-gen Honda Civic won't be much different compared to the North American-spec version. That said, the specifications can also expected to remain more or less the same. The 2016 Honda Civic is 182.3 inch (4,630 mm) long, 70.8 inch wide (1,798 mm) and 55.7 inch (1,415 mm) tall, and has a wheelbase of 106.3 inch (2,700 mm).

Along with the 1.5-litre turbocharged engine, Honda may offer a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated engine producing 158 hp and 138 lb.-ft. (187 Nm) of torque to keep the entry price lower. The 1.5-litre engine likely be mated to a continuously variable transmission, while the 2.0-litre engine unit may be available additionally with a 6-speed manual transmission.
