To be available with two petrol engines.

It seems like Thailand will be the first Asian market to receive the facelifted 2016 Honda Accord. The company's Thai subsidiary has announced over social media that the 2016 Honda Accord will be launched in the country on 25 February. No technical details are available as of now about the Asian-spec facelifted model, but the changes should be more or less same as that of the North American-spec model.

On the outside, the facelifted model features a new, lighter all-aluminum hood, new upper grille, LED headlamps, LED foglamps and LED taillights. The more expressive creases and sculpting on the body adds further to the elegance. Inside, visual changes are only minor like usage of new trim for instance. A big change is the addition of a 7-inch touchscreen Display Audio infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration compatibility.

The engine and transmission choices should remain unchanged. Two engines are offered in the ninth generation Honda Accord. First up, there's a 2.0-litre i-VTEC four-cylinder petrol engine good for 114 kW (155 PS) and 190 Nm of torque. Moving up the price range, there's a 2.4-litre i-VTEC four-cylinder petrol unit from the Earth Dreams Technology engine range, producing 128 kW (174 PS) and 225 Nm of torque.
