Booking for new Triumph Bonneville begins before Auto Expo debut - IAB Report

Triumph India has formally commenced bookings for the new generation Triumph Bonneville range of motorcycles. The company has also teased the new Bonneville range and confirmed that it will be presented at the 2016 Auto Expo in Greater Noida from Feb 3-9.

The new Bonneville range of motorcycles comprises of five models - Street Twin, T120, T120 Black, Thruxton and Thruxton R.

The new Bonneville series comprises of five models including the Street Twin, T120, T120 Black, Thruxton and Thruxton R variants. These models unlike the existing Bonneville range which uses the same chassis and 865 cc air-cooled twin-cylinder engine, feature different frames and engines.

The entry-level model, the Triumph Bonneville Street Twin, uses a 900 cc liquid-cooled twin-cylinder engine that produces 80 Nm of peak torque which is 18 percent higher than what is available on the existing Bonneville.

The Triumph Bonneville T120 and Triumph Bonneville T120 Black use a 1,200 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that generates 105 Nm of torque which is 54 percent higher than what the Bonneville T100 packs. The models are offered with two riding modes - Road and Rain.

The Bonneville Thruxton and Thruxton R motorcycles use the same 1,200 cc parallel-twin engine but tuned to produce 112 Nm of torque which is 62 percent higher than the torque available on the Thruxton they replace. This model gets three riding modes – Road, Rain and Sport.
