The KUV100 is Mahindra's second product based on a monocoque platform.

The company aims to lure buyers looking at B-segment hatchbacks like the Hyundai Grand i10 and Maruti Swift, whilst offering the road presence of an SUV, decent equipment list and a new fuel efficient range of engines.

As seen in spyshots, the KUV100 is confirmed to be a 5+1-seater that is reminiscent of the Datsun Go. Designers have moved the standard components between the independent front seats to the dashboard, including the gear lever. The colour scheme of the Mahindra KUV100’s cabin includes piano black and silver trims on top of the light base colour on dashboard and door panels.
