The only significant change seen is the new mesh layout for the upper grille.

Spyshots reveal a few of the details such as a new mesh grille that is flanked by redesigned headlight clusters with integrated LED DRLs and new foglamps. The side profile remains intact while the rear fascia could get a revised bumper design and LED clusters for the taillamps.

The dashboard is expected to feature minor revisions to the centre console which accommodates a new infotainment screen and larger AC vents. In other markets, the Elantra is equipped with cooled glove compartment, Flex Steer technology, and an advanced parking assistant (Advanced SPAS).

In China, the facelifted Elantra will continue offering a 1.8-litre four-cylinder petrol motor producing 150 PS and 178 Nm of torque, and a 1.6-liter four cylinder petrol unit with 130 PS and 157 Nm of torque. A 6-speed manual is standard in the base 1.6L variant, while a 6-speed automatic gearbox is available for both.
