Buick Envision - Motorshow Focus

The Buick Envision was showcased at the 2015 Shanghai Auto Show. The SUV made its debut at the 2014 Chengdu Auto Show, and will be exported from China to USA starting later this year.

The Envision is based on GM's Delta global-compact platform and measures 4,667 mm, 1,839 mm, 1,663 mm and 2,750 mm in length, width, height and wheelbase respectively. The front gets the signature Buick 'waterfall' grille, projector headlamps with LED DRLs, chrome hood vents and small fog lamps accentuated by chrome elements. The sides feature prominent wheel arches, a strong shoulder line and black plastic cladding along the wheelbase. The rear view is seen with elongated tail lamps connected by a chrome strip, and a tailgate spoiler.

The cabin has a premium and luxurious look with wooden trim, chrome elements and leather being used in copious amounts, giving it an upmarket feel. The entire dashboard is covered in a shiny wooden panel whereas leather is seen adorning the steering wheel, center console and seats. Infotainment needs are taken care of by the Intellilink system operable through the 8-inch touchscreen on the dashboard. The car also comes with 4G LTE, Wi-Fi hotspot, and Bluetooth, with 4 USB ports, four 12-volt outlets, and a 120-volt outlet for charging devices.

Powering the Envision is a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four cylinder engine generating 260 hp of maximum power and 363 Nm of peak torque. This engine sends drive to all the wheels through a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
