Mitsubishi says that the Outlander facelift is the first car to receive the brand's new design language. The front has the new "Dynamic Shield" front fascia that is flanked by headlights incorporating LED DRLs as well as revised fenders. The sides come with power-folding side mirrors and 18-inch alloy wheels. Tailgate-mounted spoiler, LED taillights and a silver-finish skid plate round off the exterior changes at the back.

Changes have also made their way into the interior with a redesigned steering wheel, improved fabrics for the seats, updated navigation and display audio system along with revised trims for the doors and dashboard. Mechanical changes have taken place in the form of retuned suspension, new electric power steering system, optimized chassis and better sound insulation.

The engine choices are a 2.4-liter four-cylinder petrol engine producing 166 hp and 219 Nm of torque and a 3.0-liter V6 that generates 224 hp and 291 Nm of twisting force. The former is paired to a CVT gearbox while the latter is coupled to a 6-speed automatic transmission. According to reports, the Outlander is expected to launch in India this year.
