The most noticeable upgrade is the projector headlamps with cornering lights and LED DRLs, which are standard in the top-end i20 Asta (O) grade. Up until now, this feature was only available in the Euro-spec Hyundai i20 and the Indian-spec Hyundai i20 Active. The other big upgrade is the inclusion of a driver airbag as standard throughout the range, while a front passenger airbag is added to grades up and above Sportz.

While the lower grades gets a music system with an LCD display, the top-end Asta (O) of the 2016 Hyundai i20 features an Audio Video Navigation system with a 7.0-inch display. Bluetooth telephony continues to be standard in Magna and above grades.
