Honda BR-V with Modulo accessories debuts at Thai Motor Expo - IAB Report

BR-V expected to launch in Thailand next year.

The Honda BR-V made its Thai debut at the 2015 Thailand Motor Expo today. Alongside the regular BR-V, Honda has also showcased for the first time Modulo accessories for the crossover.

In comparison to the regular BR-V, the Honda BR-V Modulo adds front and rear skid plates, side step, 5-spoke Y-shaped alloy wheels, chrome garnish for wing mirrors, sporty pedals, and finally the steering wheel is from the Honda City series of cars, whereas the steering wheel on the BR-V prototype showcased to select journalists at Tokyo was from the Honda Brio series of cars.

The BR-V is expected to launch in the Thai market next year. For Thailand, Honda will equip the crossover with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder i-VTEC petrol engine capable of 120 PS and 145 Nm of torque. The show car featured a CVT gearbox, though an all-new 6-speed manual could also be offered in the base variant.

The BR-V measures 4,455 mm in length, 1,735 mm in width, 1,650 mm in height, 2,660 mm in wheelbase and 200 mm in ground clearance. Honda Cars India is expected to showcase the BR-V at the Auto Expo 2016, and launch it next calendar year. For the Indian market, the BR-V will get petrol and diesel engines.
