Previously referred to as the Ducati Scrambler 400, the Sixty2 is a budget version of the popular Scrambler 800 that looks nearly identical to the latter including its engine construction. The motorcycle is powered by a new 399 cc L-twin air-cooled engine with 2 valves per cylinder and desmodromic distribution, that produces 41 PS of maximum power at 8,750 rpm and 34.6 Nm of peak torque at 8,000 rpm. The motor is paired to a six-speed gearbox.

Replacing the larger Scrambler as the most affordable Ducati, the Sixty2 draws inspiration from youth street culture, skateboards, street food, pop music, according to the company. It is named the Scrambler Sixty2 as a tribute to the year 1962 which is when the first Ducati Scrambler was launched.
