Is the third iteration in the Audi Prologue series.

The Audi Prologue Allroad Concept that debuted at the 2015 Shanghai Auto Show is the discussion on this feature story. The concept is the third vehicle in the Prologue series and comes after the Audi Prologue and the Audi Prologue Avant Concept that made debuts in late 2014 and early 2015.

The design is similar to the previous Prologue concepts except for the rough-road package and higher ground clearance.

The exterior design is similar to the previous two concepts with the front getting the edgy headlights, huge chrome grille and catchy-looking LED light guides. The sides get big 22-inch wheels with 20-inch brake discs, sloping coupe-like roofline and the rough road package, with a 77 mm higher ground clearance. The rear has sharp twin tail pipes, tailgate spoiler and sleek LED tail lights connected by an LED strip.

The cabin has a fully digital instrument cluster, and three touch OLED displays have been used to extend the display area to accommodate the entire dashboard, all the way to the passenger side. There is an additional display located on the center console that can be used for climate control and infotainment system settings. The concept features wireless charging and Audi's Virtual Cockpit instrument cluster.

The rear has a futuristic look with the sleek headlamps, sporty apron and taillights with a three-dimensional effect.

The Prologue Allroad Concept is driven by a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine assisted by an electric motor. The combined output is 734 hp and 900 Nm of torque. This power is transferred to all four wheels through the Quattro system by an 8-speed tiptronic gearbox, giving it a 0-100 km/h time of just 3.5 seconds.

The Allroad is equipped with a 14.1 kWh lithium-ion battery helping the vehicle to achieve a claimed fuel efficiency of 41.66 km/l and an all-electric range of 54 km.
