The interior has leather upholstery and comes with a new multifunction 3-spoke steering wheel, TFT-screen for MID in the new instrument cluster, 8-way electric driver’s seat, 7-inch touchscreen entertainment system with DVD/CD/MP3/Radio/USB/AUX-in/Bluetooth and Navigation, chilled glovebox.
Other features include automatic climate control, rear AC vents, electrically adjustable door mirrors with power folding function, engine Start/Stop button paired with Smart Key entry, and cruise control. For better practicality, the new SW4 comes with 2 seats in the third row.
Based on a re-inforced ladder frame platform from the 2016 Toyota Hilux, power is sourced from an all new 2.8-liter GD turbodiesel engine that produces 177 hp. Torque figure varies with the transmission choice – 420 Nm with a six-speed manual gearbox and 450 Nm with a six-speed automatic.
