Likely to be offered with two engine options.

The 2016 Skoda Superb has been snapped again without camouflage, by Carwale. The model is expected to be unveiled and launched in India sometime next year. It is to be noted that the Czech brand will not be participating in the Auto Expo 2016 in Greater Noida in February and hence the local premiere will not take place there, as mentioned in a few internet reports.

The 2016 Skoda Superb is based on the MQB platform.

The new generation Skoda Superb is based on the MQB platform that has made the saloon lighter by 75 kg. It shares more than 50 percent of overall components with the new VW Passat which is also expected to be launched in the country in 2016.

The weight reduction is achieved despite the car being made bigger, with an 80 mm increase in wheelbase and 47 mm hike in overall width of the car. Apart from the cabin room, the boot volume has also increased to 625 litres which is 30 litres more then the current model's.
