Autoblog Argentina has posted photos of the next generation 2016 Toyota SW4 (or 2016 Toyota Fortuner in other markets) snapped by Miguel Angel M, which is expected to launch before the end of this year.

Identical to the Thai-spec Toyota Fortuner that's on sale, the new SW4 gets sleek projector headlights with LED daytime running lamps and LED taillights, 18-inch alloy wheels, rear spoiler, shark fin antenna, ORVM-integrated turn signals, and an electric tailgate. It is 4,795 mm long (90 mm longer than the outgoing model) but has the same wheelbase of 2,750 mm.

The top-end variant of the Toyota SW4 will be called SRX, as seen in one of the badges on the tailgate.

The interior is upholstered in leather, and features a new multifunction 3-spoke steering wheel, TFT-screen for MID in the new instrument cluster, 8-way electric driver’s seat, 7-inch touchscreen entertainment system with DVD/CD/MP3/Radio/USB/AUX-in/Bluetooth and Navigation, chilled glovebox, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, electrically adjustable door mirrors with power folding function, engine Start/Stop button paired with Smart Key entry, and cruise control.

Under the hood, the SW4 will pack an all new 2.8-liter GD turbodiesel engine that produces 177 hp. Torque figure varies with the transmission choice; 420 Nm with a six-speed manual gearbox and 450 Nm with a six-speed automatic.
