The Chevrolet Colorado-based pickup gets an updated front-end that features a more aggressive dual-slat grille, redesigned headlight clusters with integrated LED daytime running lights and new 18-inch wheels for the top-spec variant.

The dashboard houses an optional eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Isuzu Connect, while the instrument cluster has a new TFT multi-information display. It also has roof-mounted loudspeakers (world’s first for pickups), and an Isuzu Insight economy driving app that can be downloaded into smartphones.

The biggest change is the inclusion of a new 1.9-liter Ddi diesel engine, which is capable of 150 hp and 350 Nm of torque, and is paired to a 6-speed Sport Shift gearbox. Isuzu is proud of the new engine's carbon emissions figure that is rated at 161g/km for the commercial-oriented Spark body type.

The new motor replaces the 2.5-liter turbodiesel engine, and is claimed to be 10 per cent more powerful, has 9.4 per cent more torque, is 8.2 per cent faster in 0-100 km/h acceleration and registers a significant 19 per cent improvement in fuel economy.
