Fiat Punto Evo Sportivo gets contrast roof, 6.5-inch touchscreen unit – Report

Just when you thought Fiat India had made its pitch to the petrolhead in the market with the recent launches of the Fiat Abarth Punto and the Fiat Abarth Avventura, spyshots with details have emerged of a Fiat Punto Evo ‘Sportivo’ model courtesy of Mr. Rahul Narayanan of Team Fiat Moto Club.

The Sportivo will gain a body kit, 15-inch alloy wheels, contrast white roof, decals, chrome garnish on ORVMs, and door sill plates.

The limited edition ‘Sportivo’, is based on the low-end variant of the Fiat Punto Evo and is to come with both cosmetic and equipment changes. The Sportivo will get a body kit, 15-inch alloy wheels, contrast white roof, Sportivo decals, chrome garnish on ORVMs, and door sill plates. To keep up the Sportivo tag, there is also a rear roof spoiler.

On the inside, the car will get a 6.5-inch multi-function touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth streaming facility, GPS with 3D Navigation, reverse parking sensors, special carpet mat and new fabric on the seats. However, the mechanicals remain the same and the Sportivo will continued to be powered by the 1.2-liter FIRE petrol engine making 68 PS and 96 Nm of torque and the 1.3-liter MultiJet engine that makes 76 PS and 197 Nm of torque. Both engines are mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

The Sportivo essentially bridges the gap between the different variants of the Punto Evo and is expected to be launched in a few days.
