No change in power.

The 2016 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R has been presented at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show. The upgrade has been more about making the model Euro4 compliant. The ECU has been retuned and the evaporative exhaust system has been reworked, to lower the emissions.

The ZX-14R is offered in the name of ZZR1400 in European markets. The 2016 model is available there in two variants - the ZZR1400 and the ZZR1400 Performance Sports. While the former is the standard version, the latter gets new Brembo M50 monobloc brake calipers with Brembo radial-pump master cylinder and stainless steel brake lines, Ohlins TTX39 rear shock absorber, and Akrapovic exhaust.

The standard revisions in the 2016 version include a new instrument cluster with dot-background LCDs and black/white interchangeable display.

Despite the changes made to lower the emissions, the company claims that performance is unaffected. The 1,441 cc liquid-cooled, inline four-cylinder engine produces 200 PS of peak power. The motorcycle is capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in under 2.6 seconds, and the top speed is electronically limited to 299 km/h.
