Set for launch this financial year.

The 2016 Ford Endeavour was spied with a 2.2-litre diesel engine, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission that sends power to a 4WD system. The existence of a 4WD system in the 2.2L manual test mule is confirmed by the presence of the Terrain Management System controls. It is used to switch between various drive modes, such as Normal, Snow/Gravel/Grass, Sand and Rock.

The 2016 Ford Endeavour would get two engines - a 2.2-litre diesel and a 3.2-litre diesel unit.

The spyshots reaffirm that the 2016 Endeavour will get manual and automatic transmissions with the 2.2-litre engine. The 'maroon' model in pictures is the 2.2L 6-MT 4WD variant, while the silver car is the 2.2L 6-AT version.

The next generation Ford Endeavour is expected to be launched with two engines – a 2.2-litre four-cylinder TDCI mill and a 3.2-litre five-cylinder TDCI diesel engine. The smaller engine will come with both, a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox, while the bigger motor will be offered only with a 6-speed automatic transmission. It is unclear if the 4WD system will be offered on the 2.2L automatic variant.

The 2.2-litre power plant packs 148 bhp of maximum power, while the 3.2-litre mill churns out 197 bhp of peak power.
