The Ertiga SHVS system will offer features like Bluetooth, navigation and voice recognition.

It also gives us a first look at the new 7 inch SmartPlay touchscreen infotainment system, which is only available in the Z+ trim. Similar to the one offered in the Ciaz and S-Cross, the Ertiga's system will integrate Bluetooth, navigation and voice recognition.

The 2015 Ertiga will have an updated exterior design, featuring a new 3-slat chrome grille, new front bumper design with chrome accents, revised alloy wheel/wheel cover design, and a chrome applique with the nameplate embossed at the back. Inside, it gets a start/stop button, auto-fold ORVMs, and keyless entry in the Z+ trim. As for safety equipment, a driver-side airbag is standard across all variants, while the higher variant comes with dual airbags and ABS/EBD.

The only mechanical changes under the hood are the inclusion of Maruti's SHVS mild-hybrid tech in the diesel variant and the option of a 4-speed automatic for the petrol VXI variant. In the former, the SHVS tech integrates a start/stop system, brake energy recuperation and torque assist, which further increase the fuel mileage of the Ertiga. Once launched, the diesel SHVS variant is likely to be the most fuel efficient MPV in India.
