PT SIS (Suzuki Indomobil Sales) debuted the Suzuki Ertiga facelift (what will launch in India as the Maruti Ertiga facelift) at the 2015 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) last month, and here’s a walkaround video showing the exterior and interior.

The Swift-platform based MPV gets minor cosmetic changes, the first cosmetic intervention since its market launch (India was the first market to get the Ertiga in April 2012) for a renewed appeal.

Up front, designers have given the Honda Mobilio rival a three-slat chrome grille, a redesigned bumper with chrome highlights for the foglight enclosures and a new airdam. The side profile sees no changes save for a new alloy wheel design, though the rear sees more prominent changes with new reflectors attached on the bootlid, and a chrome garnish with the Ertiga branding.

Inside, the Ertiga gets minor updates for its trim and features. Colors and accents on the dashboard, steering wheel and gear knob have been updated, while the last row seat gets the much necessary 50:50 split folding function. Electric folding wing mirrors, an auto-up function for the driver side window and an optional socket box for the second row are other changes Suzuki have made inside. Another noteworthy update is that the Ertiga facelift gets dual front airbags as standard in the Indonesian specification.

50:50 split for the third row seats, new dark brown colour for select interior parts, and new fabric upholstery feature in the 2015 Ertiga’ interior.

Coming to the powertrain, the Ertiga facelift for the Indonesian market retains the 1.4-liter K-Series petrol engine, but now produces 3 PS less at 92 PS, however the torque output remains the same at 130 Nm. For Indonesia, the MPV will continue to be offered with a 5-speed MT or a 4-speed AT, though it remains to be seen if an AT makes it for the Indian market.

Speaking of India, the Ertiga facelift is certain to feature improved fuel efficiency, thanks to the SHVS technology, when it goes on sale later this year.
