Gets an Upside Down Fork which is a first in its segment.

What's believed to be the Yamaha MT-15 has been spotted testing again, this time in Indonesia. The model was first spied testing in Thailand earlier this month.

The Yamaha MT-15 could be based on next generation R15, both of which could get inverted telescopic fork.

The MT-15 is the naked version of the Yamaha R15, similar to what the MT-25 is to the R25 and the MT-03 to the recently launched R3. It will compete with entry-level performance street fighters like the Honda CB150R and the Yamaha FZ.

Judging from the details in the spyshot, the MT-15 will be powered by the same engine that does duty on the R15. It is a 149.8 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled 4-stroke engine with SOHC and 4-valves. The Indian version produces 17 PS maximum power at 8,500 rpm and 15 Nm at 7,500 rpm. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

The Yamaha MT-15 could have higher performance than the existing R15.

Apart from the changes in elements that differentiate the naked variant from the supersports model, the MT-15 features Up-Side Down telescopic fork, which is something that neither the Yamaha R15 nor its siblings R25, MT-25, R3 and MT-03 use. This indicates that the naked version is based on the next generation R15 (Yamaha R15 v3.0) which is also yet to be unveiled.

There doesn't seem to be a significant change in the Delta box frame, but a next generation model could mean a difference in the tune of the engine.
