The 3 Series facelift is confirmed to launch in India this year.

The landmark vehicle was a 320d sedan in Imperial Blue colour. This variant is powered by a four cylinder, twin-power turbo diesel engine that produces 187.7 bhp and 400 Nm of torque. It is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox that can take the sedan from 0-100 kmph in 7.2 seconds and on to a top speed of 235 kmph.

In all, the BMW Group has produced more than 14 million cars of this series out of which the sedan variant has accounted for more than half. The 3 Series facelift was launched in July this year and the Munich plant is the only facility to have produced all six generations of the core series.

The 3 Series for India is produced in China with localization levels of nearly 50 percent.

The facility has undergone constant modernization and enhancement of production systems over the years, which means that the customers can choose from a multitude of options to almost entirely tailor the car to their personal specifications, BMW said in a statement.
